Hi-Street continue strong start

The Wanderers claimed bragging rights in the local derby tie against Scanlons bar on Friday last, the 22nd of November. The head to head, being played in the team’s shared venue, went the way of Scanlons in the early stages, as they took a commanding 3-0 lead. The reigning champions showed their strength though, winning the remaining matches, to claim the points with a 6-3 victory.

In the Rock Bar, the Hi-Street dominated the scoresheet 9-0, but the result was harsh on the home side, who took seven of the nine match-ups to the deciding leg.

In the final fixture of the weekend Dans hosted Scullys. After a promising 4-1 start from the home side, they were left hanging on to secure a fortunate 5-4 win. The tie also produced two ton plus finishes by TJ Bodie of Dans (126:T19,S19,Bull 100:T20,D20) and a 180 from John McAuliffe of Scullys.

The league now enters its winter break and will return again in early January 2020.
